Directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Casey Nicholaw, “Aladdin” brings audiences on an enchanting adventure to the deserts of Agrabah, complete with high-flying carpet rides and a toe-tapping Genie that will have you wishing for more.
ALADDIN recommends that children be at least six years old to attend a performance of ALADDIN.
The 337 costumes worn in “Aladdin” were all custom made by hand.
In the Genie’s musical number “Friend Like Me,” there are 1,428 Swarovski crystals on a pair of men’s pants.
James Monroe Iglehart, who originated the role of the Genie in the stage production, took home the Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical.
Jonathan Freeman, who voiced the villainous Jafar in the 1992 film, reprised his performance on stage in the original cast of the musical.
Don’t expect Aladdin’s monkey sidekick, Abu, to make an appearance. In the stage adaptation, Aladdin has a trio of friends named Omar, Babkak, and Kassim.
